What Do Slot Machines Have To Do With Golf Carts?

Probably not much, but I spent years in the gaming industry and many people still ask me questions about the workings of gaming equipment. To answer their questions, I wrote a book about how slot machines work. The title of the book is “Those Darned Slot Machines” and the following is a description of what is in the book:

Can those Cherries on my slot machine cause heartburn? To take a tour of slot machine “life”, from both sides of the machine, this book makes a good tour guide.

The author of this book has worked on slot machines in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada, as well as in many other places all over the United States, the Caribbean Islands, South America, and Canada. Now living in Florida (the latest stop in his gaming career), he is often asked about how the machines really work and how to “take advantage” of them. This book is his answer to those, and many other, questions about slot machines and the other gaming equipment that you find in your local Casino (or whatever Casino you happen to find yourself in). The book also provides a lot of interesting stories about the life of a slot mechanic. The stories give you some insight into what all goes on in a Casino to keep the machines making money for the “house” and giving back enough to keep the customers coming back.
